I've always lived a tinge frugally, but when I do spend - it's often on small stuff that makes life better. A great pan, a great pillowcase, maybe even a great shower head. Sizable little luxuries that just feel right. Then I clicked on a YouTube video of a keyboard, and that was it.
Since that day, I've built, tested, and perfected a variety of keyboards - whether gifts or for myself. Putting one together is good, but when you're chasing the perfect sound, chasing the luxury that just feels right, it's hard. Real hard. Learning the parts, the insulation, the feel and perfecting it is what separates a mediocre board from a great one.
I've spent as much time enjoying the craft as I have been frustrated with it. Some never want that - they end up with the same board as everyone else, one that says nothing about them. That's where AuxBoards comes in.
